I'm so glad to hear you two talking about supporting a church and loving Haiti.

I was living in Haiti when the earthquake happened.

I still have nightmares and dreams, but it's getting better.

I was actually looking for a recepie because I was craving it, I had it almost every single day because, well that's just what we had!!! :) I miss Haiti and I'm so glad to know that people have a heart for the country I love so much.

My Haitian Fiance left 6 days before the quake and we plan to return some day to start an orphanage.

Thanks for your love! Let me know also when you find out!! :)

In God's love,

Nichole Steiner

yea that would be a great idea!! My friend and I are trying to find places for Pastor Luc to speak, but every church is so skeptical and nonchalant.

His mission has a website http://hearttohearthaiti.com/ and a girl from Canada blog's working and living at his mission has a blog which i love reading: http://rebeccalarkin.blogspot.com/ you should check it out if you have time! It is so interesting.

Have you been back since the earthquake? I want to go very badly..but it just doesn't seem financially possible as I'm newly married and still have 1 more year of college to go. That's ok though, somehow I know I'll make it back there.

Do you have a trip to Haiti planned for the future? Hahah...

yea I can't wait till you find out that recipe!! Maybe I will ask Pastor Luc if he knows when he comes to stay with us this Wednesday.

God bless you Kathy,
Elizabeth

We have 2 wonderful ladies in our Haiti Ministry.

When I can get the chance to sit on them and force the recipe out of them or else, I will be sure to let you know what it is. One of them has their mother here whom I met when I went to Hait last year and maybe I can get her to talk too! Peace.

I'm so glad you wrote back!! You made me laugh about praying for the red sauce recipe, that's so funny! I will be praying for your continued support with your church in Haiti.

I'm so glad they have support from your church and that no one was seriously hurt.

I'm also glad your pastor is able to visit in August! Hopefully he will be able to speak various places and raise support.

So many people here just do not understand how much they need our prayers and support.

Take care!!

Hello Elizabeth,
Our church twins with a catholic parish in Seau d' Eau Haiti in the Central Plateau.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel.

The parish and church were damaged also.

With metal supports they were just recently able to use part of the first floor of the parish but the church cannot be used.

They conduct services outside.

The outside kitchen was destroyed.

They have six catholic schools that we pay teacher salaries and feed the children.

Luckily there were only a few broken bones.

The pastor is hopefully coming in August.

I wish your pastor peace and love and I pray that relief, food and medical supplies were available to his family.

The Haitian people are beautiful and loving and deserve the Good Lords Love and blessings.

Peace.

Kathy Let's pray for a red sauce recipe also!

Kathy, I just randomly found this website when I was looking for a recipe...

I've been craving haitian beans and rice (ESPECIALLY with that redish sauce that you have described) I love that sauce and don't know how they make it. I've only been to Haiti once in 2008 for 10 days but ate rice and beans with that sauce every day. My Haitian friend Pastor Luc Honorat is in the U.S. right now and he is trying to raise money and meet new connections.

The money he hopes to raise will go to help the devastation of the earthquake on his orphanage and school in Grand Goave Haiti.

It is so sad but he is such a happy person and is thanking the Lord that none of his family died (he considers his whole orphanage and school his family).

It is a miracle because all of their buildings were completely destroyed and they are living in tents.

It is very sad and I have known him since I was a little girl when he would visit my home church (my dad is a pastor too) I am now 21 and living in PA with my husband and we want to raise awareness of him being here and are looking for places for him to speak.

if you know of any in this area please email me ! In Jesus name, Elizabeth
